The Pal-Arinsal resort is around 7 km from the city of La Vella and 225 km from Barcelona. The resort is excellent for beginners and intermediate skier and also offers good facilities for snowboarders. Arinsal is a purpose built resort and has become very popular during the last years due to major improvements that were made. The majority of people visiting the area are new to the sport but more professional skier can also be found here as the resort of Ordino-Arcalis is just a short 20 minute drive away.  Pal and Arinsal used to be two separate resorts but are now joined as one. Therefore you will find a great variety of slopes here, ranging from open and wide runs to shorter and tree lined ones. In total there are 41 slopes on 63 kilometres, the longest one being 3 km long. Slalom courses, a snow park, 30 ski lifts, a variety of shops, bars and restaurant and much more is offered and will make your stay here to an enjoyable one, even if you choose to have a day off from all the skiing. During high season a lift pass (adult) for a day costs ¬33, for three days ¬85,50 and for five days ¬129. As you can see, prices here in Pal-Arinsal are cheaper than in other resorts, making it to a perfect destination for families. Child care centres are also available and cater for kids between 1 and 8 years.
