The formerly separated resorts of Arinsal and Pal today make up one resort and are connected with each other by a cable car. It is a great advantage of skiers and snowboarders as they will only need one ski pass to use both areas. Winter sports fans can enjoy a long season which lasts from the beginning of December until the end of April.
The resort is covering an area of 700 hectares on which 63 kilometres of slopes can be found. In total there are 41 runs available with the majority (over 50 %) being for intermediate skier. Below you will find the lists divided into levels of difficulty:
4 green slopes 16 blue slopes 16 red slopes 5 black slopes
Generally the slopes in Arinsal are longer and more open than the ones in Pal where slopes are lined with trees and woods. Snowboarding is also more popular in Arinsal than it is in Pal which is good reason for many skiers to choose the latter. You will find a snow park as well as a half pipe and other facilities here. Pal is offering some cross country trails which are running through the woods and nature.
Pal is a very sunny place with more sunshine during the season than most other resorts in the area. To ensure that skier and snowboarder will be able to enjoy great slopes throughout the season there are 371 snow cannons available which are covering 19 kilometers of slopes. 30 ski lifts, including 12 chair lifts, 10 drag lifts, a gondola, a cable car, a conveyor belt and 5 baby lifts will take you up the mountains. |
